I hereby pronise and agree that ill not
leave the service of the Government of Hong Kong without first giving to yourself one calendar month's notice in writing of my intention to resign ny said appointment; and in the event of leaving such service without giving the above prescribed notice I agree to forfeit and pay to the Colonial Treasurer, for the use of the Goverment of Hong long, an amount equivalent to one month's pay of the appointment held by ne at the time of my leaving the service or the said Goverment.
